It was more then 50 years ago, with the establishment of the state of Israel, When Jakob Brodsky closed his farm in south Jersey U.S.A, and moved to a new small holders settlement in Moshav Orot. He helped to establish this Moshav Together with a group of interested participants from the Vinlend NJ area.
Sins then, the Brodsky family grows and supplies vegetable seedlings to the farmers in the surrounding area and to seeds companies in Israel. Over five decades this has developed into a known Buenos with a devoted customers following going into a third generation.
Sins the early 80th Jacobs son, Gershon joined the farm as a full time partner, carrying on to the next generation and into the High Thech horticulture of the 90th.
I n order to keep with the times, in the mid 90th the nursery operation has shifted to the modern method of transplant growing. Vegetable seedlings growing under these commercial business operation give better results that meet Israel advanced farmers demands.
Bar Agriculture's hothouse seedlings are growing in a sterile medium, under complete climate controlled condition and with a computerized watering and fertilizing system.
This conditions give the farmers in the area a qualified seedlings for good and healthy crops.

What has started as sporadic visits to the farm by overseas visitors many years ago has become an important branch of its business activities. Gershon Brodsky is a requested professional consultant in Israel and overseas, mainly in the Mediterranean.
